Feihong Hu Shou Shuang Dao
Huang Feihong was a famous wushu master of South Boxing in the period of late Qing
dynasty and early Democracy China. Among the many sets of boxing and weapons
that he passed down, the Feihong Double Armguard Broadsword is typical set in the
southern school weapons. The main features of Feihong Double Armguard Broadsword
are concluded as practical in combat, careful in arrangement. It stresses on
the firm stance with lower center of gravity; it emphasizes on the stake, the changing
of advancing and retreating, raising and descending of the body movements;
the movements of leaning, jumping, dodging and turning are practiced through the
waist and legs. It is a perfect coordination of body, hands and broadswords.
